“Dealing with dad when he started losing his memory and living with early Alzheimer’s was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. As his needs increased, it was an emotional struggle to make sure he was getting the help he required while dealing with the sadness and fear we all felt. I wanted to take care of him but still, focus our time together on our relationship… to preserve the father/daughter bond. Trying to do it all and manage the obligations in my own life was simply too much.”
