A Tradition of Caring
Liberty Ridge Senior Living, Inc. was established in 1999 as a ministry of Eastland Church of God to help meet the growing need for quality affordable housing and services for area retirees. It is a non-profit entity, and is open to people of all faiths. Liberty Ridge Assisted Living opened in 2000 on land adjacent to the church, with 45 apartments and added 20 more units in 2003. It maintains an average occupancy of over 90% and is financially stable. Liberty Ridge is governed by a local board of directors and operates under the management of SeniorLife Solutions, Inc. a professional management company with over 18 years of experience in operating housing for the elderly.
In 2006, Liberty Ridge expanded its ministry by developing a neighborhood of fifty-eight Easy Living Garden Homes for independent senior adults age sixty plus.
Due to the increasing demand for care for those with memory disorders, Liberty Ridge converted a section of the assisted living community into a secured memory care neighborhood, consisting of eight apartments. This endeavor was an experiment to determine the future viability of constructing a larger purpose-built memory care facility.
In late 2007, together with Eastland Church personnel, the Liberty Ridge Board of Trustees convened for two days to create a long term master plan for the ministry and property. The future master plan includes the possibility for expansion of the garden homes as well as another addition to the assisted living facility to include luxury apartments and a purpose-built memory care neighborhood.
The Liberty Ridge Foundation was established in 2008 with the purpose of raising funds for improving facilities and offer financial support to qualified residents who lack the funds to cover the cost of their care.
